Get Touchy Feely with the New Sony Reader Touch Edition

Sony Reader Touch Edition
The Sony Reader has been with us for some time now and the announcement of the iPad earlier this week is almost certainly going to overshadow the launch of the new Sony Reader Touch Edition. However, despite the Apple announcement, the Sony Reader still has a large number of benefits over the tablet device. The dedicated reader utilises the e-ink technology that provides excellent battery life and easy viewing in a variety of lighting conditions.
The difference between this reader and previous models is that it has touch screen capabilities and a stylus to aid in navigation. The stylus can also be used to take hand written notes and even drawing. As with other Sony Readers wireless connectivity is still not present meaning that a PC is needed when downloading books, despite this however the device should be considered an effective rival to Amazon’s Kindles.
The 6 inch gray scale screen is perfect for viewing text comfortably and in terms of weight it is a heavier piece that previous readers. This weight adds a sense of solidity to the device but is not so heavy that it becomes uncomfortable to hold. With the easily accessible stylus and the stylish neoprene pouch it can be considered a good step forward for the reader range and perhaps even a must have for the bookworms out there.
